Belle the canine leapt out of a vehicle window on a South Carolina highway, to the scary of people included. Belle was found two weeks later on, about 600 miles (966 kilometers) away in Miami, Florida, says the owner’s kid.

From the Associated Press:

The pet called Belle got away from the moving cars and truck near Charleston on July 15, according to Tim Whitfield, whose 90- year-old mother owns Belle.

Whitfield put out a call for assistance on Facebook at the time and stated that he purchased the puppy for his mom after her dog of 16 years just recently died. She was “heartbroken” after hearing the pet dog was lost, Whitfield included.

After nearly two weeks of browsing, Whitfield discovered over the weekend that a vehicle of Florida locals got Belle out of traffic after finding the animal while traveling through Charleston to Miami, WCIV-TV reported Sunday.

The rescuers stated they conserved Belle because they hesitated she was going to be hit by approaching automobiles, the station reported. They then found Whitfield through social media posts.
